before buying this i did some research to similar products and found this was the best by far. I wanted something that had a solid base so when my 2 border collies were in the back seat could lay or sit comfortability without falling down the sides or creating a hammock like effect. Highly recommend this product, one of my girls likes to starch the side door when the window isn't down with the sides on this cover it helps stop her from doing so but still allowing her to have her head out the window.
Extending the seat to reduce the gap over the foot well has suited my dog very well. He is more relaxed than with his previous hammock type seat cover. Plus it was a sweet touch to add the little freebie gift of collapsible water bowl.
Have always had a car hammock for my dog, which has worked great in the past. He is getting older though and I wanted something a little more stable for him in my backseat for long drives. He loves this extendable back seat hammock. It has a flat surface that is strong and durable. I've had it for months now and it is in great condition. Easy to wipe down. Fits perfectly in the back of my small Kia soul. 100% worth the money. He seems to feel a little more stable back there when I'm driving.
